I should post more

...and track my sessions better.

I'm hovering around $600 now, but the dork in me is sad that I haven't kept an accurate record of the rises and falls.

After this session, I'll start my accurate spreadsheet tracking again, if not full on session-by session blogging.

This game is easy. Wait until you have the nuts both ways on the turn and get three people all in. Then watch the board pair and shake your head. Oh, well, 65% equity against three all-in opponents is pretty nice.

I love the guy at our table whining and pleading with everyone to stop raising preflop.

zappa: y does everyone rise before the flpo stupit play cmon peolpe
TheHouse72: "why raise before the flop?"
TheHouse72: you know you are in the presence of poker genius when someone asks that

I get quartered then sixthed on back-to-back hands, decimating my stack. I again do not understand the Marsh/Jase attitude of quartering not being something to fear, or some kind of rare occurance. In my experience, it happens all the fucking time at both 6 and 10 max, and reminds me why I used to play more PLO than PLO8.

My rakeback this month should be an all-time high with all the O8 chops.

Then my aces full is not the best aces full and that kills a buyin at .10/.20, under where I have been playing these days, but it's what was available. Rebuy.

Plenty of donks around to make you forget those beats in a hurry, though. He was ahead on the turn, but I like my equity here.

Happy day! Another sixthing, with A4 no less. Had the sense to call it down this time instead of making it expensive.

Wow, I decide to start blogging a session again and it turns into the worst session I've had since I started playing O8 regularly.

First, of course he catches a low when I've turned quads. Never fails. Poker gods never seem interested in punishing someone for calling off their stack for a draw to half the pot against me. 76% equity my ass.

....and, finally, my flopped nut low in a three-way all in is counterfeited for the humiliating $30 scoop to cap my worst O8 session ever. I'm going to skip the blogging next time.

And seriously considering going back to PLO for a while. Endless quartering, multiple sixthings, counterfeiting lows, and donks drawing to half the pot and hitting every single time have made for one intensely frustrating session.

Heh.

Well, the part where I won $400 in a few weeks and didn't post about any of it was pretty fun.

If games didn't piss me off so much when they don't go well I probably wouldn't enjoy it very much when they do go well....
