I smelled the quartering fairy a mile away but plunged ahead anyway. I’m smart like that.

A little short-stack gambling that didn’t work out. Third-nut-flush draw and straight outs, and it turns out I’m behind the second-nut and nut-flush draws. I’m ahead on the turn, though, they officially sucked out!

Blatantly gambled again on the oesfd and four boat outs. I knew I was essentially on a six-outer, but the pot was obviously going to be huge, and it would have been cool to hit the sf. Sammy hates the play, though, it was obvious I was chasing half the pot even if I do hit.

I don’t pretend either of these last two plays were anything but gambling, and that is not why I sit down at the O8 tables. I’ll try to make it back in hold’em, now.

(AA) Eh, I guess I failed to maximize, I could have value-raised that river instead of shoving. I just figured a flush would pay me if I shoved. I think I should have made a small bet on the turn, possibly on the flop, and tried to build a big enough pot by the river that someone would be more committed.

(99) Nemesis hand in position plays much better than in the blinds.

(KK) Very next hand. Not having to show anything down, here. Going to have to ease up on c-bets and get called with a strong hand, here.

(65c) Very next hand. With callers on the turn, I didn’t think I was good on the river, but I was.

(K8s) Top pair, second-nut flush draw on the flop looks nice. Two pair, second nut flush draw on the turn looks even better. Nut flush draw calls my shove, and I go with the audible, changing the play to hitting a boat instead of a flush.

(AQo) AQ still sucks.

(A9o) Villain has been seeing every flop and calling with all draws and sometimes air. Somewhat scary board, but had to keep hammering with v-bets.

(AKo) brutally sick.

+.42, gotta max my stack for bluchip’s giveaway.

+.08, same

(JJ) This is so wrong. These are the hands people point to when they talk about online being rigged.

Check out bluchip’s next hand.

And then he cashes out. What a fucking dipshit. Now I’m life-tilting.

(QQ) I move to a full table and pick up QQ on my first hand, get a bunch of callers, then flop top set on a dry-as-shit board. That’s one way to help take the sting out of that lucksack bullshit at the last table. The ace scared away one of my villains, too bad.

(KJ) Crap, this is not my night. Apparently I just fall apart whenever I hit $200. So bad. I could have check-folded the turn, but I didn’t want to accept that a random queen was beating me.

I hate what is happening, here, but I’m not tilting, so I’ll cap my buyin.

(AKo) OOP, played it pretty straightforwardly.

At least I’m clearly not tilting, I haven’t played many more hands than these three in this stretch.

(QTo) Boredom call with Martin’s favorite.
