$191.00 (+$.9.02)

Scanning the player list at the tables is automatic, now. During peak times, I can usually find a familiar fish. In this case prairie dog (PD) and Pata69 are a welcome sight, and I wait for a seat at the table rather than play where there is a seat ready.

(QQ) PD is going aggro pf with random crap, so I slowplay QQ on my second hand in hopes he will raise. I knew it was risky because he was the BB, where he would be more likely to take a free one than get cute with crap. Indeed, he checks his option, but the hand works out anyway.

(K9o) I have to be careful, having two ATC PF types in the game I’m targeting makes me want to play ATC to get in there with them. Villain had AA here! Nicely played, sir!

Wow, pd is a lucksack! His flop play is fine with the combo draw, but man…

(75o) Like here. I’m getting my two targets isolated, though, so I’ll pay the price to go to the flop with them. My book on PD is that he passively calls when I’m ahead there, so I don’t mind letting it go when he raises my turn bet.

(Ks7s) Again, I just have to call here with both targets involved and a suited king, and then I have to bet the flop. WCE on the turn, though, which reveals that I was behind the fourth player in the hand. How about that flop call from PD, eh? NICE!

(88) Not a bad flop for 88, but I still misplayed it. It’s hard for me not to raise with my 77/88/99 hands since I know I rate to be best against the field pf, but I inevitably get multiple callers, and inevitably face overs that someone has inevitably hit. I just need to play them for the set potential and I will save myself from stupid losses like this. Chasing down players like PD is part of it, though. I misplayed that, too: the correct play would have been to raise all in on the turn, figuring to be ahead of PD. He would have called with his (same) draw and I would have won $2 instead of losing $2.

(99) I get my 88/99 test shortly after. Well, I didn’t raise with it. That just hurt my head, though. If my dad won’t, Doyle’s dad is going to come out of the grave and beat the heck out of me for being loser at this game.

Then I fail hit a set with 44…then…

(77) Sigh. Playing these midpairs correctly is really annoying. How setting one of them up to reinforce my approach, poker gods?

I add on $.72, I really want to be at max with PD having me covered.

Gotta love it when a target sucks out on someone else…

Aw, but then that villain gets it back. He was tapping the aquarium like nobody’s business after Pata sucked out.

(QQ) Funny, I lost my two targets on this one, but found two new ones. Mr. Brunson is crawling back in his grave for the time being.

(A9o) Landshark clearly hates money.

(Tc6c) Rough. Made the disciplined fold and could have stacked two of my fish. What’s the name of this blog again?

(76o) Thought I might get bobbydick’s money on this one.

…and, there goes PD. Oh well.

(A2o) Wow, can you call that flop raise from the fish based on the action so far? I felt ahead and almost did, but didn’t think it was worth it to find out and folded. Could have cleaned out bobbydick, which is much of what I’m playing for at this point, with PD gone and Pata sitting out.

Now bobbydick has left, so I’m tightening up and done at my next BB. I play on my laptop and a desktop, and it’s clear notes don’t cross over. Have to figure out where they are stored, and see if I can consolidate my player notes.
