(T7h) Feeling frisky, I limp with Daniel's favorite. I flop bottom two and reraise what I figure to be a random jack. The minraiser comes over the top all in, and it folds to me. I know it's likely I'm facing the nuts, 98, but with only $2.75 to win about $10, I decide to gamble. The odds aren't there, though...this is not the play of a pair, which is all I'm beating, with four outs being the best-case scenario. I'm mostly lucky it was the nuts and not a better two pair, where I'm on a 2-outer. AJJ bad gamble that hit this time.
JJ in the small blind gets a caller to a pb. Flop is A-high, I bet, get raised, and fold.
(A4s) I'm fine with how I played this. I was done when my flop bet was called, but then picked up the flush draw and that prompted me to bet again.
(AQs) It was tough to fold...I felt like I was good, facing a c-bet, but I was going to have to be out of position for two more streets to find out.
(KJd) I figured the min
(99) Same player I caught the boat on last time. I didn't like the turn, but was only charged half-pot to chase my ten outs. A much better call than the other one, as the implied odds take me over the line.
(AJo) Villain has 54o and calls my v-bets down. Playing AJo from the sb Martin style pays off, here, he does not have me on an ace.
(KJo) A tough river call, but I felt good.
(AQc) One of those random gift hands...a short stack moves in, I raise to isolate, and 99 from the BB flat calls, then shoves on an ace-high flop. I call, and the short stack shows a total junker. Thanks, guys!
I splash around a bit more with mixed results, and call it quits.
